Deck Remodel with Trex: Scripps Ranch

This was a two deck patio system built with pressure treated and redwood. however, our clients decided that having to deal with wood rot, termites and painting annually had become tiresome. Trex decking was the solution for this problem. When dealing with composite decking material, your floor joist spacing needs to be closer than if you were building with wood. We started by doubling our support. Once we finished laying the deck, we replaced the hand rails-which extended to both sides of the property--and the planters. Now the Davis' deck is maintinance free.
